ATTENTION YOUTH TEAM ROPERS

The 2010-2011 brings exciting news to our up and comers in the Youth Division (5th Grade & Under) Team Roping.

You will now be able to rope with a Region III Team Roping member of your choice.  You can enter up and back and will also have the option to tie on when heeling.  We will still crown a Year End Heading and Heeling Champion and hope that by allowing our more experienced members the opportunity to rope with our Youth members the Youth Team Roping will draw more entries.  Please feel free to call the Rodeo Secretary at (817) 221-4920 should you have any questions

DOUBLE MUGGING

Once again Region III will be offering the Double Mugging event at our Sunday Rodeos.  This is open to members 12 years old and under as of September 25, 2010  (Our 1st official Rodeo).  The one change from last year is that our muggers must be a Region III Jr or HS member as we will not be doing the parent/child combination.  We would like to thank Avdec for sponsoring this fun event again this year and allowing our younger members the opportunity to fine tune their roping and tying skills

JR AND HS STUDENT EVENT DIRECTORS

Student Event Directors play a very important role in our association.  Not only are you the “go to” person should a problem arise in the arena but also you must work the event that you are the director of.  With that being said, we are now taking names of those that would like to run for a Student Event Director position.

Please call Kelley Williams at (817) 221-4920 or email your interest to Kelley.williams@thsra3.com.  Should we have more than one applicant for an event, we will have a ballot out at Rodeo #1 for members to vote and an announcement will be made later in the day of the selected candidate.

Any and all are welcome to run just remember you must be on hand to work your selected event

TIME TO SPREAD OUT

The Board voted to utilize the secondary arena in Graham for the Goat Tying and Poles.  We are currently verifying that the 2nd arena will be available at our scheduled events so more information will follow.  We hope everyone is excited about this possibility as it will cut 3 hours off of each performance which benefits all involved
